Guide: Activate/Reset User Account Password

Once their accounts are created, TSF2 users have 24 hours to activate their account and set up a password. If the 24-hour window expires (or if TSF2 users forget their passwords), DMs can send account activation/password reset emails.


Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Manage Users page.
  2. Locate the user account in the table.
  3. Under the Password Reset column, click the Send link. An email from CCTS Admin (ccts@seattleu.edu) is sent to the TSF2 user with instructions for resetting their password.

Note: TSF2 users can also generate their own account activation/password reset links by visiting the TSF2 login page and clicking the Reset Password button.

Reset User Password

After a new user is added to the TSF2, they have 24 hours to activate their account and set up a password. If the 24-hour window expires, the DM can send a new account activation link. (Users can also click the reset password link on the TSF2 home page to send the account-activation link.)

DMs can resend the activation link (or to reset a user password) by clicking the Send button in the Password Reset column of the Manage Users table.

A popup will appear to confirm that a reset email was sent. Click OK to confirm and return to the Manage Users page.
